MY OWN SAVIOR

I won't be fooled, noone can fix me from my broken pieces
I wait for nobody, not for haloed wingless angel
I stop for nothing, will not be weighed down by somebody's cross
Will not cry, will not beg, will not yield
I WILL BE MY OWN SAVIOR.

Defeated by the ever tightening grip, lost and bleeding
Shattered to million broken pieces on an irreparable endless pavement
Distorted and blurred vision of salvation, an unreadable smokescreen text
Will wrap my wounds, will crawl if needed, will conjure my own signs
I WILL BE MY OWN SAVIOR.

Ones kindness might blind me, makes it easy to believe
Random strangers smiling to tell words from a fallen angel
A swooping bird riding on blazing light to take me away from all these
Will not be swayed, will not be blinded, will not wait
I WILL BE MY OWN SAVIOR.

Cling to me if you want, I'll try to hold your hands until end
But don't drag me down as you whisper words behind my ears
Won't stare blindly on a wooden sign for precious freedom
Will not stop, will not abandon, will not be burdened
I WILL BE MY OWN SAVIOR.
